Chestnut Teenagers is our drama class for twelve to eighteen year olds. No experience is needed and everyone is welcome.
Each term we explore a different theatre form, including acting for camera, and pick a new theme to make sure there’s something for everyone, whether that’s monologue work, script work, hard-hitting drama or comedy.
There’s always an end goal during the term, such as filming work or a small performance, to encourage development and self-evaluation. Teenagers also showcase their work at our Christmas showcase each year.
A supportive place to find your feet
We understand that the teenage years can be tough. Chestnut is a place where pupils are supported on many levels, building confidence in a relaxed, inclusive environment. Students leave with valuable skills for both on and off the stage
Support for GCSE and A-level drama
Sarah has extensive experience teaching A-level drama, which makes Chestnut Teenagers a fantastic supplement for students studying GCSE or A-level drama. The class has seen brilliant results, with many pupils going on to take drama further in their lives.
