For neurodivergent children aged 6+ · Mondays at 4:10pm

Diverse is our drama class for neurodivergent children aged 6 and over, held every Monday at 4:10pm in Stockport.
Created and led by Sarah, who is neurodivergent herself, Diverse is a safe, welcoming space where children can express themselves through drama without pressure, judgement or any need to fit in. Sarah knows first-hand how school can feel, and how much it matters to have somewhere you can simply be yourself.
What happens in a session
Sessions cover the full range of drama: improvisation, script work, character work, mask work, acting for camera and more.
Why drama?
Drama can build confidence, communication and self-expression in ways the classroom often can’t. With drama increasingly squeezed out of school timetables, we think it matters more than ever to offer that space.
Part of the Chestnut family
Diverse students are warmly invited to join our termly showcases alongside every other Chestnut class, because inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
Who is Diverse for?
Neurodiversity includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Tourette’s syndrome and more, and affects around 1 in 5 people. All are welcome.
